Why You’ll Actually Care
District Partners is working closely with the hiring team at a nationally recognized, mission-driven organization to identify an AI Enablement Lead who combines technical fluency, business judgment, and the ability to turn AI capabilities into practical solutions.
An enterprise AI initiative is already underway, creating an opportunity to take ownership of its next phase: strengthening existing capabilities, improving business workflows, and expanding employee adoption. The initial focus is a Salesforce-connected initiative supporting approximately 100–150 users, with opportunities to extend AI’s impact across the organization.
You’ll work directly with business leaders, IT teams, end users, and technology partners, contributing to both how solutions are implemented and how they improve day-to-day operations.
The Basics
This role requires a hands-on AI practitioner who can understand a business challenge, translate it into clear requirements, and contribute directly to implementation.
You should understand how AI agents, prompts, data, APIs, and enterprise integrations work together. You’ll help configure and test solutions, evaluate outputs, troubleshoot issues, and refine workflows alongside internal technical resources and external partners.
Business judgment is equally important. You’ll assess where AI can deliver value, understand the operational context, and help employees apply new capabilities effectively. Project leadership supports that work, but success requires technical contribution and ownership through implementation and adoption. A software engineering background is not required.
What You’ll Be Owning
AI Solutions & Workflow Automation: Configure, test, and refine AI agents, prompts, and AI-enabled workflows that address business needs.
Business Requirements & Use Cases: Work directly with employees and leaders to understand processes, identify opportunities, and translate operational challenges into actionable requirements.
Technical Collaboration: Partner with IT, Salesforce resources, and external technology providers on data requirements, APIs, integrations, and implementation decisions.
Initiative Ownership: Advance the existing Salesforce-connected AI initiative, managing priorities, stakeholders, testing, rollout, and ongoing optimization.
Training & Adoption: Develop practical training, support onboarding, and coach employees on incorporating AI into their daily responsibilities.
Troubleshooting & Improvement: Evaluate AI outputs, investigate technical and adoption challenges, gather feedback, and improve solution performance and usability.
Emerging Capabilities: Assess new AI technologies and recommend additional use cases based on business value and implementation feasibility.
What You’ll Bring
Practical AI Experience: Hands-on professional experience building, configuring, implementing, or supporting AI agents, AI-enabled workflows, or enterprise AI solutions.
Technical Fluency: A working understanding of APIs, data structures, data models, integrations, and modern AI concepts, with the ability to contribute to implementation and technical problem-solving.
Business Process Understanding: Experience gathering requirements, evaluating operational needs, and translating business challenges into practical technology solutions.
Implementation Leadership: Experience owning technology initiatives from discovery through testing, rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Training & Communication: The ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences, develop useful training, and work effectively with leadership, business users, and technical specialists.
Curiosity & Initiative: A demonstrated ability to learn emerging technologies, experiment thoughtfully, and apply new capabilities to business problems.
The AI & Technology Environment
The environment includes Salesforce, enterprise AI platforms and large language models, AI agents, prompt engineering, workflow automation, APIs, and enterprise integrations. Relevant tools and concepts also include Microsoft Copilot, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Experience with every technology listed is not required. What matters is understanding how AI capabilities connect to business systems and applying them effectively in a working environment.
