District Partners has been engaged on a confidential search for a Senior Finance Manager/Controller to join a growing manufacturing organization at a pivotal stage of transformation.
This is far more than a traditional finance role. It's an opportunity to take ownership of the entire financial and operational ecosystem, from product costing and inventory strategy to ERP optimization, manufacturing analytics, process improvement, and business transformation.
The organization is investing heavily in its systems, processes, and infrastructure, and is looking for a finance leader who wants to be at the center of that evolution. You'll serve as a key partner to leadership, helping shape how the business measures performance, manages profitability, leverages technology, and scales for future growth.
For professionals who enjoy solving complex operational challenges, improving processes, and building better ways of working, this role offers a unique opportunity to leave a lasting impact.
What You'll Be Owning:
Lead and continuously improve the company's manufacturing finance function, serving as the key bridge between Finance, Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technology
Take ownership of costing methodologies, inventory accounting, margin analysis, manufacturing KPIs, and operational reporting
Drive ERP optimization initiatives, ensuring systems are fully leveraged to support business growth, visibility, and decision-making
Evaluate and improve workflows across the entire manufacturing lifecycle—from receiving raw materials through production, inventory management, and customer fulfillment
Identify automation opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement scalable processes that improve both financial accuracy and operational performance
Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics that provide leadership with real-time visibility into profitability, production performance, inventory trends, and business drivers
Partner closely with plant leadership and operational teams to improve controls, strengthen data integrity, and support strategic decision-making
Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory movement, labor utilization, and production metrics to uncover opportunities for improvement
Play a leadership role in broader finance transformation, systems enhancement, and operational excellence initiatives across the organization
What You'll Bring to the Table:
We're intentionally flexible on background because we're focused on finding someone who enjoys improving businesses and driving change.
This opportunity could be particularly attractive for professionals coming from:
Cost Accounting or Manufacturing Accounting
Plant Finance or Operational Finance
Manufacturing FP&A
ERP Implementation or Financial Systems Leadership
Accounting Advisory or Business Transformation Consulting
Finance Transformation
Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement
Technology Enablement Consulting
Process Manufacturing Finance
Why This Role:
Own the finance function beyond the general ledger—from costing and inventory through systems, analytics, and operational performance
Lead meaningful ERP and business transformation initiatives rather than simply maintaining existing processes
Opportunity to build and improve systems, reporting, and processes that directly impact profitability and scalability
High visibility with executive leadership and significant influence on operational decision-making
Blend of finance, operations, technology, analytics, and continuous improvement
Ability to leave a measurable footprint on a growing organization during a transformational period
Competitive compensation package with flexibility for exceptional candidates, including performance-based incentives
