District Partners has been engaged by a growing accounting advisory firm seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice. With consistent year-over-year growth and an expanding portfolio of middle-market clients, the firm is investing in its team to support continued demand for outsourced accounting services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys variety, client interaction, and taking ownership of the accounting function for multiple businesses. The firm serves a diverse client base, including investor-backed companies, healthcare organizations, and professional services businesses.
Unlike traditional public accounting roles, this position offers a predictable 40-hour workweek, a fully remote environment, and a clear path for professional advancement.
What You'll be Owning:
Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of approximately 5–10 clients, depending on size and complexity.
Own recurring accounting activities, including month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Maintain accurate financial records and deliver timely reporting to clients.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, addressing accounting questions and communicating financial information clearly.
Work extensively in QuickBooks Online to manage client accounting activities.
Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and other accounting professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
Support a growing portfolio of for-profit businesses, including investor-backed organizations with increasingly sophisticated accounting needs.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
Prior experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS), outsourced accounting, or external audit within a public accounting firm is required.
Strong full-cycle accounting knowledge, including month-end close, account reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
Experience managing multiple clients, engagements, or competing accounting deadlines.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and the ability to work independently within the platform.
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and responsive approach to working with clients and colleagues.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a remote environment.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Preferred:
Experience supporting privately held, investor-backed, or middle-market businesses.
Public accounting experience with a smaller or regional firm offering broad client exposure.
Industry experience in healthcare, professional services, or other service-oriented businesses.
CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
