Why You'll Actually Care

District Partners is exclusively representing a global technology consulting firm with an established Workday practice serving clients across North America and internationally. The firm is strengthening its HCM delivery team, with multiple openings for senior time tracking and absence consultants who bring deep functional expertise and the presence to lead customer conversations. You will own complex implementations, advise senior stakeholders, and help shape delivery across these connected functional areas.

The Basics

The firm helps organizations modernize how they manage their people, operations, and enterprise systems, combining technology consulting with a substantial Workday services practice. Its engagements span implementation, optimization, and ongoing support, offering exposure to varied customer environments and business challenges. These opportunities combine the resources of an established global firm with hands-on ownership of customer delivery.

What You'll Be Owning

  • Independently lead Workday Time Tracking and Absence workstreams across the full implementation lifecycle.

  • Own discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, go-live, and stabilization.

  • Lead customer workshops and translate complex workforce requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

  • Remain hands-on with configuration, calculations, eligibility rules, business processes, troubleshooting, and testing.

  • Manage dependencies across Time Tracking, Absence, Core HCM, Payroll, integrations, and related areas.

  • Identify implementation risks and guide customers through complex design decisions and tradeoffs.

  • Serve as a functional SME and trusted advisor throughout delivery.

  • Mentor other consultants while maintaining direct accountability for customer outcomes.

The Environment

The HCM consulting team is being reorganized, with multiple senior hires needed to strengthen delivery across priority functional areas. You will work on billable customer engagements supporting clients across North America, collaborate across specialties, and mentor junior colleagues. These are visible, client-facing roles requiring polished communication and a professional, composed demeanor; prior people management experience is not required.

What You Bring To The Table

  • 8+ years of relevant Workday HCM consulting and implementation experience preferred, with significant Time Tracking and Absence expertise.

  • Current Workday certifications are required.

  • Candidates should hold current certifications in Workday HCM/Core HCM, Workday Time Tracking, and Workday Absence aligned with the work they will lead.

  • Must have personally led Workday implementations from Workday or a Workday Services/Supplier organization.

  • Customer-side implementation leadership alone does not satisfy this requirement.

  • Demonstrated experience independently leading customer-facing Time Tracking and/or Absence implementation workstreams through the complete lifecycle.

  • Strong recent hands-on configuration and troubleshooting experience across Time Tracking and Absence.

  • Strong understanding of Payroll dependencies and broader HCM impacts.
